Nail Wrap Directions

What you will need:

Wood stick & Nail file

Recommended/Optional

Clear Top Coat nail polish

UV gel top coat and UV cure light

Hair dryer

  1. Prep nails: file, quickly wash hands (avoid soaps with oils or lanolin), push back cuticles
  2. Wipe nail with alcohol or high concentration acetone  (oil & water will lift the nail polish)
  3. Match the nail wrap to the correct size cuticle. If in between sizes, pick the wrap that is smaller.
  4. (Optional step: heat the wrap for 5 seconds with a nail dryer.) Using the wood stick, lift the wrap & place on the nail.  Place wrap near the crescent. Keep the wrap entirely on the nail. Do not let it touch the skin (oils will lift the wrap). Use the wood stick to press out air bubbles and wrinkles. Press all the way around the wrap edges. (Heat and) pressure help cure the wrap.
  5. Let the wrap fall vertically down the edge of the nail. At a 90 degree angle, file off the excess wrap with a nail file. Do not file back and forth- this will lift the wrap.

For a longer lasting wrap

  1. Wait one to two hours and apply nail polish top coat to the nail and edges.  Can use regular nail polish or a gel and UV light. The UV light needs to cure about 60 seconds.

Tips:

  1. Avoid water, emulsion or oil for 1 hr after applying the wrap.
  2. Wraps with gems, Crystals, nail stickers and epoxy ornaments must be covered with a top coat nail polish or UV gel
  3. Warm hands receive nail wraps better.  Nail wraps have difficulty adhering to cold hands.

How to Remove:

  1. Soak in warm water for 3-5 minutes.   Wraps should easily peel off.
